In front of Hotel Afriqiya is a private company minibus for Misratha (13 DL), Sebha (20 DL), Tripoli (20 DL), Sirte (10 DL). At the foot of the hotel is the bus company El-Waddan (Tel. 092 400 39 83) with very recent buses (2006), air-conditioned and with film projection. They serve Tripoli (15 DL, departure at 18 h) and Sirte (7,5 DL), Misratha (11,5 DL, departure at 8 h), Sebha (16,5 DL, departure at 18 h), Joufra (13,5 DL, departure at 18 h), Tazirbou (twice a week) and the Egyptian coast.

Benghazi airport is about 15 km east of the city centre by the M'garief street (10 DL by taxi). It hosts national and international flights. A new terminal with a capacity of five million passengers per year will come into being in the coming years.
