About 70 km west of Tripoli on the coastal road to Tunisia (45 minutes from Tripoli, or 1 hour if the road is bottled in particular at the level of the city of Zawiya), the town of Sabratha contains one of the major Archaeological Sites of Libya, that of the ancient Sabratha, which extends by the sea. It is one of the richest treasures of the archaeological heritage of Libya, classified on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Certainly less spectacular than that of Leptis Magna, it's no less unusual and his fabulous theatre deserves the visit alone. Starting in the morning of Tripoli, you can take the day to visit the archaeological site and its museum. The pressés will be able to spend half a day with, for organ, contemplation of the Roman theatre.
