MANGAL DAS GARÇAS

A botanical and zoological park close to the Place de l'Arsenal, this 40,000 m² area in the middle of nature and facing the Guama River is divided into several areas where Amazonian plant species and part of its fauna are in direct contact with the public. Birds roam freely on the Mangal das Garças artificial lake. One of the highlights of the park is the Borboletário, where 5,000 butterflies are born every month and where you can take a stroll. The Mangal das Garças provides a foretaste of the forest - not to be missed!
