This is the heart of the city. Here you'll find the impressive Teatro da Paz and a small bar. A stroll through the square is a delight, with the surrounding styles offering a surprising contrast. The square is very busy during the day, but not so much at night. On Sundays, there are popular festivals and a crafts fair. Admire the Teatro da Paz (Peace Theatre), designed in neoclassical style, and the impressive series of Greek columns that marked the apogee of the rubber era, Parà's golden age.
