One of the city's iconic bars. From a distance, with its tables, green chairs and vaguely Art Deco kiosk, you'd be forgiven for thinking you were in a Parisian park. Open non-stop, the Bar do Parque welcomes early risers and late risers alike. It's the bohemian place that's been open for a quarter of a century! Simone de Beauvoir and Sartre are said to have loved it. It has arguably the best shrimp salgado in town. This bar comes alive after 5 p.m., when you can enjoy the freshness of the fruit juices and beer.
