BOSQUE DOS BURITIS

In this planned city, which was built in 1933, the green spaces have not been forgotten by the town planners. The bosque dos Buritis is the oldest and most traditional park in Goiania. It was designed by the architect-urbanist Attílio Corrêa Lima in 1938. Surrounded by high towers, it is reminiscent of a Manhattan of the tropics, of the Jardin des Plantes in Montpellier, with its ponds and canals. Long abandoned and fallen into disrepair, it has been completely restored in the mid-90s. A place for meditation.
