BOSQUE DOS BURITIS
Goiânia's oldest and most traditional park, fully restored in the mid-90s and ideal for meditation
The bosque dos Buritis is Goiânia's oldest and most traditional park. In this planned city, which emerged from the ground in 1933, green spaces were not forgotten by urban planners. The bosque was designed by architect and town planner Attílio Corrêa Lima in 1938. Surrounded by tall towers, it bears a striking resemblance to a tropical Manhattan or Montpellier's Jardin des Plantes, with its ponds and canals. Long abandoned and falling into disrepair, it was completely revitalized in the mid-90s.
