There are a few international flights, including Lisbon (with TAP) and the Mercosur capitals, and numerous domestic flights with Tam, Gol, Azul and Avianca.

To/from the airport. The metro serves the airport, which has two terminals (ticket: R$4.40), itself serving the rodoviaria and the city center. A cab ride to the city center costs around R$40.

The small metro in Porto Alegre is the equivalent of the Parisian RER, running rather in the outskirts of the city. However, the airport, the Rodoviária and the mercado publico do have a station. The single line runs from Porto Alegre to São Leopoldo, via Canoas, Esteio and Sapucaia do Sul. It is 44 kilometres long, with a total of 22 stations 2.1 kilometres apart. It is therefore necessary to calculate well where to get off, at the risk of covering a long distance on foot! From the central market you can reach the bus station or the airport by metro.

Correios is Brazil's main postal service. They offer a range of communication services, including sending letters and parcels. It is important to note that some offices do not have a service for receiving documents or parcels, which must be delivered directly to the person in charge.
