The MON is Brazil's largest museum dedicated to the visual arts, architecture, urban planning and design. Nicknamed the "Museum of the Eye", the building is a true architectural feat from Niemeyer's fertile imagination. An annex was added in 2002. It has become the building's trademark. Niemeyer designed a sort of elevated flying saucer, with an elliptical ramp and a glass façade reflecting the sky. A must-see in the city.
