Curious Art Deco-style theater offering classical music concerts
A symbol of the city, this Art Deco-style theater, with its stone exterior and iron interior, was built in 1910, and reopened in 1991 after a long restoration phase. The José de Alencar Theatre is a typical example of Brazilian eclectic architecture, blending neoclassical lines with art nouveau. The cheerful face of Bacchus is sculpted at the top of the façade. Enjoy classical music concerts performed by the Eleazar de Carvalho Chamber Orchestra.

incroyable théâtre
C'est le plus vieux bâtiment de la ville du CEARA dont la construction date de 1910. En pierre à l'extérieur mais tout en fer à l'intérieur ce qui en fait un monument rare
