MUSEU CÂMARA CASCUDO
This museum is attached to the UFRN (Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte). It bears the name of its first director and one of the founders of this remarkable place, anthropologist and folklorist Luís da Câmara Cascudo. For the past 60 years, this interesting two-storey museum has been displaying numerous, sometimes unique, items of ethnology, archaeology, paleontology, folk art, sacred art, anthropology, Amazonian Indian folklore, fossils and skeletons. A sambaqui (burial mound) is reproduced in one room. One room is dedicated to the sugar cycle.
