FORRÓ COM TURISTA

In a place that has been dedicated to repression, Thursday nights appear as a symbolic liberation. The centro do turismo is a very popular place for tourists and Potiguars. During the day, as we have already mentioned, the Centro do turismo is an original market, where the shops are installed in former prison cells. Every Thursday evening, in the courtyard of the Centro's prison, there is the "forro com turista", a big forro ball, where everyone can try this north-eastern dance and rhythm "ennobled" by the great Luiz Gonzaga.
