A bohemian, slightly nerdy bar, probably the most German-Pratin of Recife's bars. Filmmaker Kleber Mendoça Filho, director of Bacurau, son of Recife, the new capital of Brazilian cinema, makes a few appearances here to meet friends. The look is at once sober, kitsch and family-friendly, with red skai chairs. The walls feature a few black-and-white photos of the Recife of yesteryear. The menu offers well-crafted dishes and good cocktails. Vegans and vegetarians are welcome. A relaxed and welcoming Brazilian bar that we love.

As in Rio, the carnival exists before and after the carnival. Outside of carnival, you can also enjoy the entertainment of one of the most traditional carnival groups in the Northeast. The Galo da Madrugada is a "bloco" or carnival group created in 1978. The group provides entertainment every Thursday in its headquarters with traditional music groups from Pernambuco, such as frevo, maracatu and regional folklore. A good option to vibrate to the rhythms of Pernambuco. Its carnival outings are followed by millions of people.

The "Bodega do Veio" chain of bars can be found in Recife and Olinda. In Recife, Bodega do Veio, located on Rio Branco Avenue in old Recife, is a pleasant place to enjoy a drink or petiscos after a tour of the restored city center. The decor is original and personal. Local regulars, Brazilian and foreign tourists meet in this typical bar to chat and catch up on old times, in the tradition of Brazilian "botequins". Some evenings, it's "forro" or "frevo".
