Bar do Souza is a Praia do Forte icon. It is both a bar and a pleasant restaurant. Its wooden tables, in the semi-enclosed courtyard planted with trees, and its red-tinted walls make for a pleasant stopover before returning to Salvador. The Bar do Souza offers excellent ao vivo musical entertainment almost every evening. Try the fish fritters(bolinho de peixe). The kiwi caipirinha is well worth trying. The Souza bar is certainly the best-value establishment in the little seaside resort.
