PRAIA DO FAROL DA BARRA

Without a doubt, this is one of the most accessible urban beaches when you live in the pelourinho or in the residential area of Barra. It is also one of the beaches that constitutes the postcard of Salvador. Farol da Barra beach is protected by reefs and has small waves and natural pools. On the other side of Morro do Cristo is another small beach. Surfing is common on these two beaches, which are crowded on weekends. They are not always clean, but still pleasant.
