BOTECO DO FRANÇA
In the small pedestrian streets of the Rio Vermelho district, Boteco do França is a little hidden, but the diners scattering along the sidewalk make it easy to spot this small, typical Bahian restaurant with its red front. Bohemian and authentic, the red and white tablecloths are reminiscent of a bygone Brazil. We go here for a drink, but also to eat the varied snacks on the menu, especially the bolinho de bacalhau (cod acras). It's also ideal for late-nighters, as it's one of the only establishments to stay open late into the night.
