Interesting house now housing the regional office of the organ and the Antônio Torres library.

This interesting house is one of the places to visit in Diamantina or, failing that, to observe. This 18th century house, now the Antônio Torres Municipal Library, is characterized by its original Moorish-influenced moucharabiehs. According to the principle of the moucharabieh, the guests of the house could observe the street without being seen. Built for residential purposes, the house was acquired and restored by IPHAN in the 1950s. It now houses the regional office of the organization, as well as the Antônio Torres Library.
