Pico do Baiano in the heart of Morro d'Água Quente, with four access routes ideal for climbers and mountaineers.
Three hours' walk from the centre of the city, the Pico do Baiano is located in the middle of the Morro d'Água Quente. There are four access routes to reach the summit, which reaches an altitude of 2,050 m. According to some climbers, they are the most technical in Minas Gerais and among the most interesting in Brazil. Its summit was only conquered in 1994, when the "Odyssey to Twilight" route was opened, considered until today as one of the most difficult in the country by many climbers and mountaineers. The accompaniment of a local guide is mandatory.
