Open-air topaz mine offering an interesting tour of the garimpos and mines, accompanied by an excellent guide.

Topaz is an almost typical Minas Gerais stone. You can visit a mine in Mariana. This open-pit topaz mine is one of the few operating in Brazil and one of the few in the world that can be visited. You can see miners at work and even buy topaz. Moises Da Silva, owner of Casa do Topázio, can show you around.
