Open-air topaz mine offering an interesting tour of the garimpos and mines, accompanied by an excellent guide.
Topaz is an almost typical stone of Minas Gerais. You can visit a mine in Mariana. This open-air topaz mine is one of the few active ones in Brazil and one of the few in the world that you can visit. You can see the miners at work and even buy topaz there. Moises Da Silva, owner of the Casa do Topázio, can show you around.
