Next to the São Francisco de Assis church, the epitome of Ouro Preto, the Pousada do Mondego is located in a superb colonial house dating from 1747, which the owner has passionately restored over 14 years. Inaugurated in 1988, it now presents a very beautiful typical mineiro furniture, and a collection of Brazilian art (works of Guignard, Marchetti, Visconti). From the terrace, you have a magnificent view of the Itacolomi peak. There is a bar, the Bistrô Conimbriga for dinner. One of the best addresses in the city.
