The most popular beach for swimming and surfing, with a huge stretch of white sand

The beach of Praia do forte (not to be confused with Salvador beach) is certainly the best known of Cabo Frio's beaches. This huge expanse of white sand is also the most popular with tourists. The place is suitable for swimming. Close to the fort, a cove allows you to enjoy the turquoise waters without the waves, ideal for children. The Praia do Foguete, in the extension of the Praia do Forte, is less frequented, and surfers love it for its rather high waves. For some, the Praia do Forte is the most Caribbean of the beaches in Brazil.
