Araçatiba beach is Ilha Grande's second tourism hotspot. It is a strategic starting point for numerous ecological trails or boat tours to Lagoa Verde, Praia Vermelha or the bizarre Gruta de Açaia. Access is by boat from Angra or on foot from Provetá. Araçatiba is now home to a large number of pousadas and excellent restaurants. Ilha Grande can be appreciated differently. Nearby is the pretty beach of Araçatibinha, with pleasant restaurants and a small chapel.
