CASA CAVÉ
Rio has a few surprises in store for gourmets. Gourmets are sure to appreciate Casa Cavé, the city's oldest confeteira. Its pastries will delight the taste buds of even the most discerning visitors. It was one of our compatriots, Charles Auguste Cavé, who founded it in 1860 and remained its chef until 1922. Since 1860, it has been serving the best ice creams in the center, as well as some very good sweets. The period architecture lends the place an old-fashioned atmosphere. There are two adjacent rooms, at numbers 133 and 137.
