An ideal beach for strolling, with slaloming paths, parks, intertwining trees, jogging tracks...

This magnificent Aterro designed by Burle Marx was reclaimed from the sea. It was only supposed to be a major road linking the Zona Sul to the city center along the coast. But thanks to the determination of sensible urban planners, the project of a huge park parallel to the road was accepted. Curves, slaloming paths, parks, intertwining trees, jogging tracks, tennis courts, soccer fields and, at the edge, the beach. Often forgotten by tourists, this Flamengo park is a very pleasant place to stroll.
