Lavradio Street is a landmark of Rio's nightlife and samba. The Mangue Seco cachaçaria is now one of the places to go for sambistas and fans of futebol matches. This samba club has a bar offering over a hundred different cachaça labels, including Mangue Seco, named after a Bahian beach. You can also enjoy a few dishes of caranguejos (crabs) or Bahian dishes of fairly good quality. Upstairs, there's samba and choro ao vivo in a warm, typical setting.
