For fans of Samba and Bossa, the mere mention of this bar may seem like nonsense. For almost fifty years, this bar in the heart of Copacabana has been one of the hotspots of samba. Opened in 1968 by Alfredino as a meeting place for leftists to forget the persecution of the military, the Bip Bip has been brightening up Carioca nights ever since. Numerous top-quality bands play there, among a crowd of regulars and a few tourists. A true neighborhood boteco where people support Lula. A must-see.
