LE COL ET LE MONT CHAMAROUX
The Chamaroux pass and mountain, culminating at 1,291 m at Anzat-le-Luguet.
It is here, between Anzat-le-Luguet and Saint-Alyre-ès-Montagne, that the Couze d'Ardes takes its source. Culminating at 1291m, the Col Chamaroux is located below the Mont Chamaroux (1476m). From there, you can enjoy a panorama on the whole Cézallier, as well as from Sancy to the Monts du Cantal. From the end of May to the end of October, you will certainly cross herds in estivation on the plateau. Be sure to close the gates that you will cross.
