A museum showcasing local know-how through two workshops.
This museum pays tribute to energy and motive power in the service of mankind. Inside, visitors can explore the techniques and machines developed since the Industrial Revolution. One of the highlights is a steam-powered micro-station, which demonstrates its role in supplying electricity to an old sawmill. Two workshops also showcase local know-how. In 2018, the association Patrimoine mécanique et savoir-faire au pays d'Ambert, which manages the site, won the first Groupama Industrial and Scientific Heritage prize.
