CHURCH OF SANTA MARIA LA MAYOR

Built on the site of an ancient church, the church of Santa Maria la Major is a massive baroque building whose construction was spread over nearly two centuries. Its sober facade, pierced by a portal without relief, is dominated by an imposing lantern tower of the ^16th and ^17th centuries. The interior houses a painted work from the ^14th century, as well as several valuable statues, including one representing Santa Maria la Major, also from the same period. There are also two beautiful altarpieces.
