You can walk and watch birds in this 3,5 km² salt water area
The Estany Pudent is a saltwater lake of 3.5 km². It is the largest lake on the island. Its name, not very glamorous, means the pond that stinks ("pudent"), in reference to the bad smells that used to be emitted from it. In the 18th century, a canal was built to connect it to the sea and clean up its stagnant and smelly waters. It was also nicknamed the pond of the pink flamingos. Fortunately, today, there are no more unpleasant smells, but a rather pleasant setting for walks and bird watching. Beware, swimming is forbidden!
