RUINS OF HIS PAISSES OF CALA D'HORT

Discovered in 1917, the site of Ses Païsses is accessible from Cala d'Hort, following the road towards Cala Vedella. It consists of the remains of two buildings and two necropolises; one dating from the Carthaginian period and the other from the Byzantine period. They reflect a very long occupation, from the^5th century BC to the 7th AD. During the excavation, some twenty tombs containing a large number of pottery pieces were discovered in the Carthaginian necropolis.
