Karen Blixen lived in this modest house between 1914 and 1931. When she left, the house was transformed into a school. Since then, it has been restored and decorated with originals and reproductions. Several scenes from the Sydney Pollack film, starring Robert Redford and Meryl Streep, were shot here in 1985. If you are feeling peckish, the Karen Blixen Coffee Gardens is just 500 metres away.
