Things to see and do Nairobi

10 km from Karen and 23 km from downtown Nairobi, the small town of Ngong is the starting point for a beautiful hike in these famous hills. There are seven lined up one behind the others. The top summit is 2,460 meters. This small mountain range is classified as a forest reserve, covering an area of 21,000 km ². And it's on these hills that Denys Finch Hatton, Karen Blixen's lover, is resting. Walking along the ridge, you will have a view of Nairobi and its surroundings on the other side of the Rift Valley. In clear weather, the landscape is sumptuous. You can go there by taxi or matatu to the village of Ngong Hills, or to the south, from Kona Baridi.
