The Donjon-le-Chastel castle, which is badly damaged, is probably one of the oldest in the department. Many of the owners, over the centuries, have been at the head of the manor house. Dating back to the th century, the Château de Vissac has now become an agricultural building. In the Middle Ages, this castle retains its square tower and a body of accommodation between two round towers. The whole had to be closed by two enclosures, which remain a strong house with a defensive tower.
