CASONAS

Iquitos hides some beautiful vestiges to be discovered, dressed withazulejos and wrought iron balconies. See for example the Casa Cohen (at the corner of Jirón Próspero and Morona). The Casa Morey y Hijos (Jirón Próspero 502) is also worth a look, it now houses a hotel, but if you ask at the reception desk you can visit it without sleeping there (ticket coupled with the Museo de barcos historicos, anchored opposite). You can find others if you stroll along the Malecon Tarapaca and in the small perpendicular streets, until you arrive in Belen.
