The remains of Yalape, built by the Chachapoya warriors at an altitude of 2,700 m, cover 4 ha and date from 1100 to 1300. This archaeological complex, strategically built at the top of the Puma Urko mountain, is one of the most important left by this culture, along with Kuélap. To get there, ask a taxi to take you to the beginning of the path towards the ruins. After about 30 minutes of walking (slight climb), you will reach Yalape
