CARNAVAL DE CAJAMARCA

The carnival of Cajamarca is very popular! It is one of the most emblematic of the country and always celebrated with enthusiasm by the inhabitants themselves. The tradition of the "yunza" is respected: a tree loaded with gifts is artificially planted, before dancing around it and trying to cut it down with a machete.
