Twenty kilometers from the city, this 30-meter high cave is infested with guácharaos, nocturnal birds on the verge of extinction, and cluttered with gigantic stalactites and stalagmites. It is part of the Parque Natural de Tingo Maria and is the most visited and best preserved of the caves. Bring good flashlights. Natural swimming pools in the park. The site is very busy during school trips or on weekends, but the peace and quiet of the jungle can be found if you go early on a weekday.
