These natural turquoise pools, nestled in a small canyon, are incredibly pure. In principle, swimming is forbidden by the authorities who try to protect this little jewel. After the rainy season, the pools no longer have the color announced. The rest of the year, it is a real geological heartthrob. Beware, the trip to get there (a day trip) is tedious: wake up at dawn and between 4 to 5 hours of road to go and back. It is necessary to join the province of Huancaraylla and the small community of Circamarca.

Belle mais longue escapade d'une journée
Le site est magnifique mais la route pour s'y rendre est longue et sinueuse à partir d'ayacucho (compter 3 heures). Le site est bien aménagé avec des marches en bois récemment construites. On pouvait se baigner dans les piscines auparavant mais il est désormais interdit de le faire afin de protéger les truites.
Les visiteurs étrangers sont encore rares mais il s'agit d'une destination populaire chez les locaux.
