Cusco is one of the high places of tourism in Latin America. In fact, it seems almost unthinkable not to stay there when visiting Peru. It must be said that strolling through the cobbled streets, between the stone walls with multiple angles, or under the arcades of the Plaza de Armas is a constant enchantment. With its 430,000 inhabitants, Cusco remains a city on a human scale that is easy to walk around, once your heart and body are accustomed to its 3,400 meters of altitude. One has the impression, for a while, of having penetrated into the heart of an imaginary, almost legendary world and kingdom. The mountain environment, the light and the fresh air of the altitude embellish the picture. Very touristy, we are more solicited there than elsewhere, but you should not hesitate to stroll through its alleys, to walk as much as possible to be surprised. Be careful and patient and you too will fall under the spell.
