MUCEN MUSEO CENTRAL
In this rich building, this museum was arranged by the bank of Peru. In the basement, in the former vault, one finds beautiful pieces (ceramics, jewels, weapons...) of the pre-inca cultures (Nazca, Mochica, Wari and Inca). On the first floor, the art gallery exhibits 19th and 20th century artists (including José Sabogal and Camilo Blas of the Indigenous School). Spaces are also devoted to a collection of traditional art: altarpieces, "mates burilados" (engraved coloquintes), and "illas", amulets that promote the fertility of livestock.
