QUINTA PRESA
Built in 1760 to plans drawn up by Viceroy Amat - long believed to have been a gift from him to his mistress Perricholi - this house is the last surviving example of Lima's late 18th-century casas de campo in rococo style. The house overlooks a wooden mirador in the purest bandstand style. Although the renovation of this quinta and its square has been completed, the same cannot be said for the house, although the project is still on the agenda. Beware, however, that the Malambo district, where this quinta is located, is dangerous.
