POCO DA RIBEIRA DO FERREIRO

Access is via a path that slopes gently upwards through the forest, a 600-metre stroll that's as bucolic as you'd like it to be, following and straddling brooks to open up into a clearing. Here, an impressive green cliff emerges, from the top of which cascades a multitude of waterfalls, ending their descent in a lagoon. It's simply sublime, breathtakingly beautiful. Certainly the most beautiful spot on the island, but perhaps also on the Azores.
