Church with two side towers in Fazenda de Santa Cruz.

A small "miracle" is linked to the construction of this church. While digging the foundations for the building, the island's only spring was discovered. Its cool water, collected under the altar, is said to have miraculous virtues, hence the name "Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes"! Both the exterior, with its two side towers, and the interior are very simple, with no architectural reference points. The site is best known for its spring.
