A 4-star hotel in Madalena, whose architecture depicts sails and evokes the sea.
Immediately visible, the Caravelas stands proudly on the port, at the place of arrival of the boat. Its architecture represents sails and evokes the sea. The 137 rooms have all the necessary comforts. Some of them offer a view of the port and the hotel's swimming pool. You can enjoy a buffet breakfast in the restaurant area. A bit empty in winter, a bit expensive in summer... Rated 4 stars (maybe a bit upgraded...): suitable for those who shun originality and prefer good standard amenities.

Very old and dated, the corridor and room had a bad smell. Not sure how this is a 4 star hotel. Maybe in the late 90s it once was. I wouldn’t stay here unless you’re taking the ferry early the next morning.

Hotel liegt direkt am Fährhafen und am Stadtzentrum. Mehrere Restaurants, Cafés und Geschäfte sind fussläufig erreichbar. Die Zimmer sind ausreichend groß und sauber, aber etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Schöner Pool. Die Bar ist ungemütlich und lädt nicht zum Verweilen ein. Das Frühstück ist Massenanfertigung. Der Kaffee hat nicht geschmeckt. Nur 1 Toaster, der kaum funktioniert. Aber der Kuchen und das frische Obst waren lecker.
