RESTAURANTE JALE

This is one of the only restaurants in Santa Cruz. Portuguese specialties are served here, prepared with local produce: meat, fish and seafood, as well as cheese and wine, come from the islands of the archipelago. The plates are generous and well served, with no fuss. You'll be greeted with a smile (and in French!) by the owner. Don't hesitate to ask her questions about the menu, she's very good at giving advice on both food and wine. A good address right in the center of town, and good value for money.
