The oldest wooden schoolhouse in the United States in the early 18th century. It is also called "Genoply house", after its owners who transformed it into a school. The furniture is also period. The visit allows you to go back to the school benches as it was done two hundred years ago, but also to explore the kitchen and the gardens where the old bell still stands. The last lesson took place in 1864. After your visit, you will even receive a diploma as a souvenir!

St Augustin disputant à Pensecola ( nord ouest de la Floride) le statut de plus vieille ville des Etats Unis , il était donc cohérent que cette vieille école figure au record d'ancienneté du plus vieil établissement scolaire du Nouveau Monde. Pas grand chose à voir de transcendant. Accès cher pour peu de chose.

Un bâtiment bien conservé et un intérieur préservé qui permettent de se replonger dans la vie des écoliers du 18e siècle. L'école se trouve dans la rue piétonne principale et historique de la ville.
