Inn just steps from the ocean, with rocking chairs and balconies, offering cozy rooms and authentic decor

In the heart of the historic district and steps from the ocean, Saint Francis Inn is the oldest inn in the city, welcoming visitors since 1791! The location is idyllic with its tree-lined patio, rocking chairs and balconies. The 19 rooms are cozy and the decor is authentic. Here, hospitality is an art: at 5pm, you will taste local wines before walking to dinner in town. When you return, a brazier awaits you to roast marshmallows. As for the homemade breakfast, it changes every morning. A real incentive to slow down.

They raised the price almost 100% in a year for exactly the same dates. Maybe it you at least mixed up the same food choices since many repeat clients. Omg what if you didn't serve egg strata on a weekend once the world would still turn

I'd love to say I hated my stay so i never have a hard time getting the room I want. That would be a disservice to all the great people who work so hard to make our stay so great.
We had lily's room. Yes the haunted room. Check in was a breeze. The room is fine. The only issue is lighting. They have a ceiling fan with no light fixture. It needs it. I suggested it and hopefully by our next stay in July, that will have been addressed
The common areas are well appointed. The grounds are beautiful. The courtyard where you can eat breakfast, have a drink at the social hour or make a smores at the firepit is great. The pool is heated and a great relief after walking all over a ls we did..
Social hour with beer wine and snacks was a perfect respite from all the trekking. The dessert they box up for you was delicious.
Breakfast mmmm. Strata, ham and other fresh items with make your own bloody mary or Mimosas
Every single person we dealt with at the inn was helpful, proactive and a pleasure to deal with.
If you have a paranormal question about our stay in that room, it'll be on our site.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and have 2 more reservations already made.

It is hard to say anything negative about St. Francis Inn. The premises are beautiful amd kept prestine. The amenities are plentiful; complimentary ponchos, umbrellas, a heated pool, and bicycles. There is plenty of parking that is on the right when coming from the north on St. George Street (one way street). Breakfast is delicious with a variety of things to choose from every morning. There's a social every evening from 5 to 6 pm, and homemade desserts from 7 to 9 pm. Finally the location is perfect, .5 miles away from the Columbia, 2 minutes walk to the Gonzalez-Alvarez House (oldest house), and .8 miles away from the Castillo de San Marcos (fort).

Excellent location for enjoying St. Augustine. Cindy has been amazing. We enjoyed a birthday celebration with a cake placed in our room. The breakfast was good. Saying hi to the outdoor resident cats by the pool was a nice bonus. Complimentary umbrellas, bicycles, coffee.

If you don't try this place you will be missing out. Everything everyone was perfect from the breakfast, to the rooms and this location second to none. I will be returning soon very soon.

I just wanted to brag about St. Francis Inn. My husband and I just had our wedding at the Inn 1/6/24. It was a beautiful day and a wonderful experience. Make sure you speak to Mary if you are looking for a quaint wedding venue or a beautiful place to elope. My daughter and I spent the day getting our hair and makeup done in one of the rooms. We stayed in Lily’s room, but we love this place so we have stayed at nearly all the rooms. The Cottage is our favorite. The breakfast and happy hour are great! Just remember that if you are out on the town for dinner you remind them to hold your dessert for when you get back. ♥️
