Huge neo-Moorish style hotel with period objects, housing old rooms, bathrooms and other rooms.
Step back in time in this museum dedicated to the fascinating history of the Tampa Bay Hotel and its founder, businessman Henry B. Plant. In operation from 1891 to 1932, this huge hotel is considered the first "Magic Kingdom" in Florida, long before Walt Disney's kingdom. The building is a work of art in the neo-Moorish style: the west wing is dedicated to the museum, the rest houses the University of Tampa. On either side of a long corridor dotted with period artifacts, you'll explore old bedrooms, bathrooms and other rooms. A must-see!

Located in the city center, this museum is worth a visit for its architecture. A former hotel quickly realizes its standing! The area is pleasant and close to the river which offers beautiful ballads.
