The pictures on the website for "Bistro" and "Starbucks" is very embellished. No complimentary breakfast or coffee or tea because they want you to purchase it. It's just a counter with extra seating in the lobby. The first morning they gave us a TO GO BAG automatically which was odd because the second day they did not-super confusing to us. The coffee in the room was horrible so we had no choice but to purchase basic starbucks coffee. There are no Starbucks baristas there, it's literally just regular starbucks coffee. The mini fridge in the room did not keep our food cold enough and no freezer. On the brightside, the room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The location was great-right off the interstate. Personnel/staff were pleasant. We will opt for another Marriott property and skip the Courtyard next time.
Worst night sleep. The elevator on the 1st floor has a communication error that causes it to beep every 22 seconds. Kept me awake last night and when I complained in the morning they smiled and nodded attentively. Th I've returned to the hotel in the evening 10pm - issue has not been resolved so now again I will have a bad nights sleep. The front desk doesn't care. The manager doesn't care. If they did care they would have fixed this. Don't stay here, if you can go anywhere else!!!
I stayed at this hotel over the weekend. The rooms are nice but the bathroom wasn’t clean properly. My boyfriend went to use the bathroom and when he lifted up the toilet seat the were poop stains on the toilet and in the toilet bowl and there was coffee stains in the sink. I went downstairs to let them know about the issues in the room. They offered to give another room but giving someone a different room is not going to solve the issues so I said no. I cleaned the poop off the toilet but I had no toilet brush to clean the toilet bowl. Front desk guy said he would call his manager to let her know but he never did. The next morning I called down front desk and was transferred to the manager who stated no one told her anything about the complaint. She said she would have someone come up to clean the bathroom but when I got back that night to the hotel there was still poop stains in the toilet bowl. When I come to a hotel all I want to have a clean toilet and nice bed I shouldn’t have to clean the things that should have been cleaned before I arrived.
We had a good rest in a comfortable room. The quality of the breakfast is unacceptable. Inedible eggs. How many days have they been there? The same for fruit. I had to spit it from the mouth for the bad taste
I didn't stay at the place I was just working with a group of people I was texting him back and forth through University of Tampa the hotel is beautiful you walk into the main area and they had a fireplace going fantastic place to sit and relax I would have loved that state but didn't happen
For the amount I paid for this room, I was put off that the bed linens were pretty bad. The pillows were lumpy and really smelled like a nursing home. And then, the air conditioner was a box type. You know the type, the type that makes noise all night long. I thought hotels at this price had nice fresh smelling linens and central air. The hotel has had a renovation which was nice (see photos), but then I dreaded smelling those pillows again upon returning to my room. They were nice enough to send me some additional ones, but they still had a strange ordor of old sweat.
When I spoke to the front desk about it, they said "It's not our fault, we have a problem with the provider (of the WIFI)"
Later that night, they said that the WIFI was "fixed", but I was only able to get 1 out of my 2 devices on the WIFI network.
In my opinion, no free WIFI for Courtyard is a deal-breaker. What is worse is that the attitude of the staff about it.
I should have been informed ahead of time so I could have made alternative hotel arrangements.
