Great Florida State Park at reasonable rates with several well-developed trails for wildlife viewing
It is the largest national park in Florida, covering over 28,800 acres (11,655 ha). You can look for alligators, deer, raccoons and more than 200 species of birds. Several trails are well developed for viewing. Miakka Safari Tours' airboats - flat-bottomed boats powered by a huge fan - operate regularly and tours are available year-round. You can also rent a canoe or a bicycle at reasonable rates. There are three campsites where you can spend the night.

Nous y avons passé quelques heures bien remplis. On accède à l'entrée après un petit tour en bateau qui donne un aperçu de la faune et de la flore. Pour en ressortir, nous avons cette fois pris un petit train, plus rapide.
Dans le parc, nous avons pris une balade en bateau qui nous a mené au plus près des alligators. Nous avons ensuite fait une boucle en voiture avec de petits arrêts pour observer les animaux et la nature. Le parc est très agréable.
